REAA Technologies makes production-grade AI accessible to small and mid-sized businesses — free, open-source, with no vendor lock-in and no enterprise pricing.
I'm Rick Somers. 32-year founding CTO with 8 successful exits, based in Las Vegas, NV. Most recently led the design and build of a Fortune 25 multi-agent platform routing thousands of agents to millions of customers and employees. After that, retirement was boring and corporate roles were unfulfilling. This company is what comes next: building something useful, on my own terms, for people I want to help.
The platform — ~700 MIT-licensed TypeScript packages covering voice agents, RAG, evals, security, observability, and deployment — exists because I built it for myself, solving real production problems at scale. There's no reason small businesses shouldn't have it. Giving it away costs nothing meaningful and helps a lot of people.
How I work
Free first.The platform is MIT-licensed and stays that way. If you can use what I built without ever paying me, that's a win.
No lock-in. Everything I deliver is yours. Keep me, fire me, hire someone else, or take it in-house at any time.
Transparent pricing.Real numbers on the website. No “contact us for a quote” on standard engagements.
Senior judgment.You work directly with someone who's done this for 30 years. No bait-and-switch to junior staff.
Production-ready by default. Security, evals, monitoring, cost controls, and governance are built into the platform.
Values
I'm running this as a Christian-founded company. Values aren't a tagline — they show up in the operations:
- Real numbers on the site.No “contact us for pricing” on standard engagements. The price is the price.
- MIT licensing on the platform. If we deliver code, you own it. No proprietary lock-in disguised as open source.
- A free tier that actually works. The DIY path is documented, supported, and intended to be useful — not a teaser for the paid offer.
- A formal pro-bono program. Each cycle, a small number of nonprofits get a production system built for free. Application-based, not marketing.
- Telling clients the truth.If a tool we already built solves your problem, that's the recommendation, even if it means a smaller engagement.
- Declining work that conflicts with values. Adult content, gambling, predatory lending, deceptive marketing — no exceptions, regardless of budget.
